A member of both the Columbia University Board of Trustees and of the Columbia Business School Board of Overseers, Pandit received his PhD in finance from the School in 1986, along with his MS and BS in electrical engineering from the Fu Foundation School of Engineering. His career has included positions as president of the NASDAQ stock market board; managing director and head of Morgan Stanley’s worldwide institutional equities division; and most recently, as chairman and CEO of Citi’s newly formed institutional clients group. Pandit joined Citigroup in April 2007 as CEO of Citi Alternative Investments (CAI), following the bank’s acquisition and integration of his hedge fund and private equity fund manager, Old Lane Partners LP.
