To add and record an individual or faculty member onto the Columbia Business School website, please follow the steps below on how to add a new Person page.
- Log in here: https://business.columbia.edu/admin; select Add Content.
- On the next screen, where you can choose the content to add, choose Person.
- Next, once added, fill out the Display Name, First Name, (Middle Name, if necessary), Last Name, Pronouns, and Biography. The value entered into the Display Name field will be what's displayed on the Person page and is the page title itself.
- Once the initial Person Field values are set, next, provide a photo of the Individual or Faculty member by clicking Browse and uploading a photo to the field. Once set, provide Alternative Text to the photo.
- The Alternative Text must be adequate enough for screen-readers to portray the image properly. More text, the better. Without the Alternative Text provided, the Person page cannot be saved without it.
- Once the above is completed, provide optional values, if necessary, for a LinkedIn URL link, Personal Website, and Degrees achieved by the Individual or Faculty member. The images below portray the step process.
- To group the Person page to internal affiliations, (e.g. Columbia Business School Advisory Board Member), click the Titles & Affiliations tab and click 'Add Internal Affiliation' and add the respective affiliation of the individual or Faculty member.
- If the individual or Faculty member belongs to any external affiliations outside the School, they can be provided as well to the Person page by clicking 'Add External Affiliation' and adding the respective affiliation.
- Once the steps are completed, keep the Published box ticked if you want the Person page to publish when you save. Untick the box if you don't want it published.
- Either way, hit the Save button, and you're done!
