TOEFL Scholarship Program

The TOEFL scholarship program is designed to award TOEFL test takers for achieving academic excellence, exhibiting leadership skills, performing extracurricular activities and demonstrating English-communication proficiency. Test takers applying for the scholarship must currently be living in Mainland China, India, Japan, Korea or Taiwan at the time of application, hold a grade point average of at least 80 or higher on a 100-point scale or a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, have a valid TOEFL test score used as a requirement for admissions into your graduate program, complete the application form online and upload your transcripts.

The Point Foundation

The Point Foundation is the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students (LGBT) of merit. This scholarship provides financial support, mentoring, and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The Point Foundation attempts to identify students who are physically, intellectually, and morally capable of leadership to play an influential part in the betterment of society. Point Scholars have a proven track record of leadership and scholastic achievement along with a strong desire to make a difference in the world. Point Foundation believes these scholars are the future of the next generation of the LGBT community. The average scholarship award per scholar is $13,600. The average total program expense that includes scholarship funding, mentoring, and leadership training is $34,000 per year per scholar. Applications open in December and close in February.

The John R. Mott Scholarship

Students native to the region of Calabria who are enrolled to attend any accredited post-secondary school are encouraged to apply. Students must be seeking an education leading to a degree or professional certification. Preference is given to students from the town of Serra D'Aielo, and the city and province of Cosenza. The Foundation awards scholarships for up to $10,000 a year based on academic achievement and financial need. Consideration is also given to the candidate's past and intended future contributions to the region. Applications should be completed online and materials sent by mail or fax. The application deadline is April 15.

The General Sir John Monash Award is a prize of AUD $60,000 per year for academic excellence and demonstrated leadership and potential. Awards support any postgraduate degree; however the Applicant must be able to argue the merits of the chosen course and institution. Applications may be submitted online between mid-May and mid-August.
