The Real Estate Association (REA) is a group of more than 200 current MBA students interested in real estate investment and management. The student group is an important partner to the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate, and works to coordinate activities that leverage the educational and networking opportunities available to students. These activities focus on education, career development, and networking, and include international and domestic study tours, industry and alumni speaker events, and social events.
Beyond the classroom, the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate produces a full calendar of activities that complement the formal curriculum. Senior-level practitioners—including many alumni—come to campus as event participants, speakers, panelists, and mentors, providing the Columbia Business School community with exceptional opportunities to gain in-depth insight into the real estate industry.
A variety of awards are available for entering and continuing students. In addition to financial support, awardees become members of Columbia Business School's community of real estate scholars and fellows.
Columbia Business School alumni are generous supporters of fellowships and scholarships. The MBA Real Estate Program is also proud of the awards its students earn through such distinguished organizations as the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), New York's Women Executives in Real Estate (WX), and the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association of New York (YMWREA).
