Columbia Business School announced today that three prominent alumni will make extraordinary gifts to the School totaling $45 million. Russell L. Carson and Henry R. Kravis each will donate $10 million, and Arthur J. Samberg will give $25 million.

Declaring that business schools should be “growth’s lobbyist,” Dean Glenn Hubbard discussed how the MBA has contributed to the success of American business and to entrepreneurial capitalism worldwide.

The Offices of Student Academic Affairs and MBA Student Life have announced the recipients of the 2006 academic and service awards, to be presented at the School’s Recognition Ceremony at Madison Square Garden on May 14.
