On October 21, over 1,400 alumni, students, faculty and staff members, and friends contributed a record-breaking $1.5 million to Columbia Business School, earning an additional $48,000 in challenge match funds from University Trustees. Adding to this success, the School won all three of the day’s challenges for the most international donors, further highlighting the generosity of the School’s outstanding global network.
Over 400 alumni and friends of the School were gathered on Wednesday, September 16, to commemorate the School’s Centennial, reflect on past achievements, and hear more about what’s to come.

The W. Edwards Deming Center at Columbia Business School announced that the 2015 Deming Cup for Operational Excellence will be awarded to Kenneth I. Chenault, chairman and CEO of American Express, and Dr. Delos M. “Toby” Cosgrove, president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic.
Lorraine Marchand ’06 has been appointed director of the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management Program. In her new role, which she assumed on August 3, Marchand is responsible for strategic, curricular, and administrative initiatives for the program, working closely with students, faculty and staff members, alumni, and corporate sponsors. Marchand replaced Cliff Cramer, who had led the program since its inception in 2006.
