On Friday, February 27, the Real Estate Association spent the afternoon with the Related Companies, listening to insights from executives and touring existing properties and developments. The group of over 20 MBA students first toured the Shops at Columbus Circle at Time Warner Center, where the leasing manager, Lauren Hammer, gave an overview of the tenant mix and shared some interesting facts about the property.
For the fourth year in a row, Columbia Business School placed in the top three at the invitation-only UNC Real Estate Development Challenge. Dennis Giuliano '15, Andrew Kim '16, Ashley McDonald '15, and Rob Nitkin '15 of team "Equity Multipliers" finished third at the competition held on February 20-21 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Two first year MBA teams competed and both teams finished in the top 3 (out of 25 teams from 19 schools from around the world.). This year the teams presented a case on the possible leveraged buyout of American Eagle Outfitters.
