Charles Griffith ’16 Named ICSC Foundation Grossman Graduate Scholar

Charles Griffith '16 has been named an International Council of Shopping Centers Foundation Charles Grossman Graduate Scholar. The award includes a scholarship as well as a grant for travel expenses to attend ICSC RECon, the global convention for the shopping center industry, which will take place in Las Vegas in May.

REA Tours Time Warner Center and Hudson Yards

On Friday, February 27, the Real Estate Association spent the afternoon with the Related Companies, listening to insights from executives and touring existing properties and developments. The group of over 20 MBA students first toured the Shops at Columbus Circle at Time Warner Center, where the leasing manager, Lauren Hammer, gave an overview of the tenant mix and shared some interesting facts about the property.

Columbia Business School Places 3rd at 10th Annual UNC Real Estate Competition

For the fourth year in a row, Columbia Business School placed in the top three at the invitation-only UNC Real Estate Development Challenge. Dennis Giuliano '15, Andrew Kim '16, Ashley McDonald '15, and Rob Nitkin '15 of team "Equity Multipliers" finished third at the competition held on February 20-21 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Columbia Students bring home two wins from 15th Annual Wharton LBO Competition

Congratulations to the Columbia students who participated in the 15th Annual Wharton Private Equity competition, Friday February 20, 2015. Two first year MBA teams competed and both teams finished in the top 3 (out of 25 teams from 19 schools from around the world.). This year the teams presented a case on the possible leveraged buyout of American Eagle Outfitters.
